Webshop 

 

How to order an item? 

  • Click on “shop” to enter the webshop and click on “add to cart” to add an item to your cart.
  • You can add multiple items in your cart.
  • Click on “cart” on the top left to watch your entire order.
  • Adjust the desired quantity of every item or remove the items you do not want to order from your cart.
  • Click on “proceed to checkout” to proceed to the payment of the selected items.
  • Complete your address details and personal info so we can send your order.
  • Select the correct delivery method.
  • Select a payment method. Our shop automatically connects with the payment system of Stripe. You can complete your payment by bank card or credit card.
  • FIEN LEROY sends a personal feedback mail to confirm your order.

To order items 

The customer has the possibility to buy jewels from the FIEN LEROY collection online.

From the moment the customer specifies his/her/their order by completing a payment, a purchase has been made. After this, the customer receives a confirmation email from FIEN LEROY. If you do not receive this mail, please contact us via juweel@fienleroy.be . The items will be delivered at the address specified in the confirmation mail.

The customer can choose from the following payment methods:

  • bank card
  • credit card

General conditions

FIEN LEROY remains the right to accept or refuse orders. On simple request, the customer will be informed about the reason of refusal.

When FIEN LEROY receives a confirmation of your purchase on the website, there exists a valid agreement between you and FIEN LEROY.

Nevertheless, FIEN LEROY can decide to take other existing conditions into account, for example incomplete or incorrect orders, or when previous orders had not been paid.

 

Supply 

All of the items offered by FIEN LEROY are described in the most detailed way possible. The offers and prices are valid on the day they are presented on the website.

The items on our website are not displayed in full scale, and because every monitor has different settings, the colors displayed on the website can differ from reality. Moreover, the colors of different pictures of the same item presented on the website can differ because the photos were made by different photographers.

 

Prices and invoice 

The prices as displayed on the website at the very moment that the order is made by the customer are considered valid. The prices mentioned during the buying process, are expressed in Euro and include VAT and administrative fees, unless this is explicitly mentioned. The shipping cost is not yet included in the prices displayed on the website. This cost is charged separately and is paid by the customer.

FIEN LEROY cannot be held liable for misprints or errors in order information. FIEN LEROY has the right to adjust an indicated price.

The price of the jewellery can change every now and then, as silver and gold also decrease or increase in value. The price paid by the customer, is the price displayed on the website at the moment the order has been made.

When a customer asks FIEN LEROY to be offered a quote, this quote is valid for 30 days. FIEN LEROY takes internal changes of prices or possibilities into account after this period of 30 days.

The items remain property of FIEN LEROY until the moment they are paid integrally by the customer, which means until the total amount of the purchase price and possible additional fees is paid.

The customer agrees to the fact that FIEN LEROY sends her invoices electronically.

 

Delivery 

FIEN LEROY will deliver the items within three to eight weeks after the confirmation mail. Every piece of jewellery is custom-made, so this period is needed to finish an order. Delivery period is estimated at 8 weeks. If an item is in stock, it can be delivered sooner.

During the order process, the customer can specify in which way the order may be sent and is responsible for this form of delivery.

The items are being sent on the customers own risk and responsibility, no matter the means of transport. This also concerns items sent as registered post, Bpost, Mikropakket or a private courier, even if this is franco. The shipping cost is paid by the customer, unless otherwise specified.

If the customer does not collect the delivery on the announced date or does not collect it at a collection point, the order will be sent back to FIEN LEROY automatically. In this case we will contact the customer to arrange a new delivery date. It is possible FIEN LEROY has to take an additional delivery fee into account when this happens.

 

Shipping costs

The delivery fee of a parcel sent in Belgium costs 12 euro, unless otherwise specified.

Registered deliveries within Europe cost 35 euro and registered deliveries outside Europe cost 75 euro, both regardless of the purchase price.

All delivery fees remain paid by the customer, even if the customer sends the order back entirely or partially.

 

Liability 

FIEN LEROY is not liable for the consequences of incorrect data entry by the customer. As a customer you are responsible for all FIEN LEROY’s shipments sent to the chosen delivery address. To avoid miscommunication, we suggest to inform us about a change of address immediately.

Complaints about non-conformity or visible defects of the order, or complaints about the execution of the item have to be sent by email and within three days after the delivery of the order. The jewels have to be sent/brought back unworn to FIEN LEROY. If these conditions are not respected, we will consider the complaint as inadmissible.

FIEN LEROY is not liable for complaints about items not being in stock or a late delivery due to force majeure. If we are unable to carry out our commitments because of circumstances beyond us (for example theft, faulty communication of the customer, or unforeseen fractures of stones in a non-faulty treatment), we are excused of our commitments and not responsible after we informed the customer about the force majeure in writing.

 

Right of withdrawal 

Every FIEN LEROY jewel is unique and custom-made regarding size and finish as requested by the customer. However, there is a difference between collection and custom jewellery. Custom-made jewellery cannot be returned or exchanged. Therefore, there is no right of withdrawal on customization. Customized orders cannot be canceled.

 

Reliance 

If the cooperation, regardless of the period, is not considered as productive anymore, or trust has been violated, FIEN LEROY remains the right to put an end to the alliance one-sidedly without preceding announcement. In this case the ending of the cooperation will be announced via our website or mail.

 

Guarantee 

Every FIEN LEROY jewel has a legal guarantee of 1 year. This accounts for production errors, not for abrasion. We make sure every item is accompanied by a certificate of guarantee. For massive golden jewellery and diamonds we give a certificate of authenticity to the customer.

 

Vulnerability and loss of precious stones

Gemstones sometimes can be vulnerable. They have to be treated with a lot of care. FIEN LEROY is not responsible for the burst of precious stones or the loss of a stone in a piece of jewellery. We advise the customer to regularly allow us to perform a checkup of the stones in the jewel. FIEN LEROY makes sure the quality of stonesetting in her work meets a high standard.

 

Engravings

The customer can choose an engraving in one of the FIEN LEROY preset fonts or in an own font, writing, or drawing. Our engravings are made with a lot of precision and care, but are no exact copy of a technical drawing. The position of the engraving on the jewel can be discussed, but there can always be a slight deviation. FIEN LEROY is not liable for a small modification of the engraving.

 

Size adjustment for a self-measured size

It is not always easy to estimate the size of a jewel for oneself or a loved one. Every piece of jewellery is different, thereby sizes can differ depending on the shape of a jewel. It is also not advised to estimate the size of a ring with own tools. Often this will lead to inaccuracies.

Do not hesitate to let FIEN LEROY help you with a correct measurement of a ring size in the workshop. Sometimes it is possible to borrow a prototype jewel for gifts or engagements. In this way, the surprise effect of a gift is not lost. In a second stage we measure the size of the lucky one in the right way.

Are you assured of the right size and would you like to order a custom-made jewel right away? FIEN LEROY is not liable for a wrongly measured size. We can adjust the size of the jewel afterwards, but this will sometimes bring an additional cost.

 

Jewellery care

Gold plated jewellery has to be treated with gold clean or gold cloths. They avoid the emergence of oxidation spots and make the jewel shine. We advise you to bring in your jewel from time to time to give it a new gold plating. Silver jewellery oxidates a bit faster. In this case use silver clean.

If a golden jewel or a diamond loses his brilliance, you can soak the piece in a bowl of water with some neutral detergent. Clean the piece of jewellery afterwards with a soft toothbrush and rinse carefully. Rub the metal with a soft cloth and your jewel is shiny as new. Dirty work? Do not wear your jewellery. Avoid greasy or chemical products. Store your jewellery separately in a dry, dark place to avoid scratches.

 

Gold plating

A gold-plated jewel has a layer of 24K gold on its silver core. This layer can wear off after a while because of friction with the body or with clothes. This is a normal process. For rings, this will occur faster than for other jewellery, because a ring receives the most friction. Earrings, necklaces and bracelets can also use a new layer of gold after a while. The customer is always welcome to ask FIEN LEROY for a new gold plating. This service is not covered by our guarantee.

Tip: taking care of your piece of jewellery can slow down the abrasion process. When your jewellery touches water or products, it is best to take them off. You can also choose to wear bracelets or necklaces separately from each other so they do not cause friction with one another. We advise against swimming or showering with gold-plated jewellery. This is not a problem for jewellery in 18K gold.

 

Trust

When the collaboration, regardless of the term, is no longer viewed as productive, or the trust is violated on one side, FIEN LEROY remains the right to break the collaboration without prior written communication. The termination of the collaboration is communicated via our website or via mail.
